ESE-2019 Prelims Ethics & Values in Engineering Profession


While Engineering Marvels make lives of people better, accidents and disasters pose challenges to engineers in edition to affecting the public.  A deeper investigations of these mishaps leads to pointing the finger on the conduct of engineers, their inability to either identify or resolve the identified moral  issues in an appropriate manner. This further promotes integrity in the qualified engineers to conduct profession in the most ethical manner. This dimension of engineering education that gives inputs  on the ‘third dimension’ of engineering, viz., values of engineering profession can be termed as engineering aptitude.
